लॉस एंजल्स :
Los Angeles | July 10, 2025 : Tech entrepreneur and anti-ageing advocate Bryan Johnson has spoken out against cannabis use, warning that it could negatively affect long-term health and lifespan. Johnson, known for spending millions on cutting-edge health experiments to reverse ageing, recently cited a new scientific study suggesting that marijuana use may significantly reduce blood flow in the body, a key factor in overall health and longevity.

Johnson shared his views in a social media post this week, stating, “Cannabis doesn’t vibe with longevity.” He explained that both smoking and consuming cannabis could lead to a drop in blood flow, similar to the effects caused by tobacco. Reduced blood flow means that oxygen and nutrients are not efficiently delivered to organs and tissues, which can accelerate ageing and increase the risk of disease.

The entrepreneur, who runs a health experiment called “Project Blueprint,” follows a strict daily routine of over 100 supplements, intense workouts, and medical monitoring. His aim is to achieve the body of an 18-year-old and he claims to have already reduced his biological age by several years through his regimen. Johnson believes lifestyle choices, including diet, sleep, and avoiding harmful substances, play a huge role in how long and how well people live.

In his recent post, he highlighted a new study that showed cannabis users may experience decreased blood flow to the brain and other organs, a pattern also observed in heavy tobacco smokers. According to the study, the narrowing of blood vessels caused by marijuana could result in less efficient circulation and increase long-term risks such as heart disease, stroke, and cognitive decline.

This warning has sparked debate online, with many users agreeing that moderation is key, while others argue that cannabis has proven medical benefits, such as pain relief and stress reduction. Some critics also pointed out that Bryan Johnson’s strict health routine is not practical for most people, and that occasional cannabis use may not be harmful for the general population.

Still, Johnson’s views carry weight in the biohacking and longevity communities. He has become a high-profile figure in the health tech world, and his personal journey, backed by real-time data and medical imaging has gained significant attention. His Blueprint method includes daily blood tests, ultrasounds, brain scans, and strict dietary control.

Johnson clarified that he is not telling people how to live, but simply sharing what his data and research have revealed. “This isn’t about judgment - it’s about making informed choices,” he said. He encouraged his followers to pay attention to how their lifestyle choices affect measurable health markers.

While cannabis is legal in many parts of the United States and used widely for both medical and recreational purposes, health experts continue to study its long-term impact on the human body. Johnson’s recent comments add to a growing conversation around the potential risks of marijuana - especially for those aiming to live longer, healthier lives.
