 देहरादून : Dehradun, 14 February : The 38th National Games, which commenced on January 28, 2025, is set to conclude today, February 14, 2025. The grand closing ceremony will witness the presence of around 2,000 VIPs and 2,500 VVIPs. This edition of the National Games has been historic for Uttarakhand, as its athletes achieved a century of medals, marking an unprecedented milestone.

On the final day of the Games, Uttarakhand athletes ensured a record-breaking finish by clinching 103 medals, solidifying the state’s 7th position in the official medal tally. However, based on the total number of medals, Uttarakhand stands 4th among all participating states. The final count for Uttarakhand includes 24 Gold, 35 Silver, and 44 Bronze medals.
Uttarakhand’s Gold Medal Triumphs
Uttarakhand bagged a total of 24 Gold medals, with Modern Pentathlon contributing 6 and Canoeing & Kayaking securing 5. Star athlete Ankita Dhyani brought glory to the state by winning Gold in the 3000m and 5000m races. Additionally, Uttarakhand clinched Gold in Lawn Bowls, while its first Gold of the Games came in Wushu. The Boxing team also performed remarkably, securing three Gold medals.
