Dehradun, 5 February: Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal has announced the dates for the Uttarakhand Assembly’s Budget Session, which will be held from February 18 to February 24 at the Assembly building in Dehradun.

Earlier, the state government had planned to convene the budget session in Gairsain. However, Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri recently held a press conference, requesting the government to reconsider, citing inadequate preparations in Gairsain. Meanwhile, the Dehradun Assembly building is fully equipped to host the session.

Following this, the state government decided to hold the budget session in Dehradun. Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal stated that the 2025-26 Budget Session will be conducted from February 18 to 24.

He further mentioned that valuable suggestions have been gathered from various sectors, including traders, farmers, small industries, and education stakeholders. These inputs have been incorporated into the budget to ensure inclusive development.

The finance minister emphasized that the budget aims to position Uttarakhand among the leading states of India, keeping public welfare as the top priority. Over 200 stakeholders across the state have contributed their insights, and the budget is designed to uplift even the most marginalized sections of society.
