The 10M Air Pistol Women’s qualification round held in Trishool Shooting Range at the 38th National Games saw an intense competition as 45 athletes from across the country vied for a place in the finals. After a display of precision and skill, eight shooters secured their spots in the next stage. Leading the qualifiers was Suruchi from Haryana with a top score of 585, followed by her state-mate Palak with 580. Niyamicka Rana from Delhi secured third place with 576, while Maharashtra’s Rahi Sarnobat finished close behind at 575. Urva Chaudhary from Uttar Pradesh scored 574, while Haryana’s Yashaswini Singh Deswal, Andhra Pradesh’s Kari Naga Bhuvana, and Punjab’s Simranpreet Kaur Brar all qualified with a score of 572.
Haryana dominated the qualification round with three of its shooters making it to the top eight, while Delhi, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Punjab each had one representative among the finalists. With the competition intensifying, the upcoming final round promises a thrilling contest as the top contenders aim for gold at the 38th National Games.
