BJP Targets Migrant Voters
The BJP has turned its attention to migrant voters, urging them to exercise their franchise in the January 23 municipal polls. The party has instructed its election management committees to compile lists of migrant voters with names in the electoral rolls and contact them. The aim is to increase voter turnout while fostering a sense of connection between migrant voters and their native areas.
Aditya Kothari, BJP’s state general secretary, stated that committees have been set up in every municipal body to ensure effective outreach. These committees will form teams to personally contact migrants, encouraging them to vote and contribute to their home regions’ development.
By focusing on both local and migrant voters, the BJP hopes to strengthen its position and boost voter participation in the upcoming elections. |
