July 11, 2025 | Mumbai (Desk) : A day after a shocking shooting incident outside Kap’s Café in Punjab, a statement has been released by the team behind the café, which is owned by comedian and actor Kapil Sharma. The message, posted on the café's official social media account, says the staff and management are still trying to come to terms with what happened - but they are not giving up.

The incident took place outside Kap’s Café in Amritsar on July 10. According to police reports, two unidentified men opened fire at the entrance of the café in the early hours of the morning. No one was injured in the attack, but several bullets were found lodged in the front shutter and nearby wall. The entire act was caught on CCTV, and footage shows the attackers arriving on a bike, firing multiple rounds, and fleeing the scene within seconds.

Following the incident, the café remained closed for the day as the police began their investigation. Security around the location has been increased, and forensics teams are analyzing the CCTV footage.

On July 11, the café’s Instagram page shared a heartfelt message that read:

“This post comes straight from the heart. We are still processing this unexpected shock. Our team is safe, and we thank everyone for the love and concern. This is a tough time, but we are not giving up. Kap’s Café was built with love and dreams—and we will continue to serve with the same passion.”

The post quickly received thousands of likes and supportive comments from fans, locals, and celebrities. Many praised the team for staying strong and spreading a message of hope despite the scary situation.

Kapil Sharma, who is currently in Mumbai, has not made a personal statement yet. However, sources close to him say he is deeply disturbed by the incident and is in constant touch with the café team and local police.

Police officials believe the attack may be part of a broader extortion threat targeting Punjabi celebrities and their businesses. In recent months, several high-profile figures in Punjab and nearby areas have reported receiving threats or witnessing similar attacks. The Punjab Police have not confirmed any suspects yet but are actively investigating links to criminal gangs operating in the region.

Meanwhile, fans of Kapil Sharma and residents of Amritsar are urging the authorities to take quick and strong action. The café is popular not just because of the comedian’s name, but also for its lively atmosphere and its role in boosting local tourism.

Despite the fear caused by the shooting, the team behind Kap’s Café has made it clear, they are down, but not out. Their message of resilience is resonating across the country, turning a moment of fear into one of unity and strength.

As investigations continue, one thing is clear: Kap’s Café is not closing its doors to fear.
