मुंबई : Mumbai, July 5 – Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray issued a strong warning at a public rally held in Mumbai on Friday. In his speech, he boldly said, "Try to touch Maharashtra and see what happens," sending a clear message to those he believes are trying to harm or divide the state.
The rally, which took place at Shivaji Park, saw a large gathering of MNS supporters. Raj Thackeray, known for his powerful speeches and Marathi pride, focused on the importance of protecting Maharashtra’s identity, language, and culture. He also criticized political parties and leaders who, according to him, are using religion, language, and caste to divide people for votes.
Raj Thackeray said, “Maharashtra is not just a piece of land; it is a pride for every Marathi person. If anyone tries to break or insult this state, we will not stay silent. We will respond strongly.”
This statement was seen as a reaction to recent political discussions around the possibility of dividing certain regions or changing administrative boundaries. While he didn’t name any specific leader or party, his message was aimed at those who have raised such ideas in recent months.
He added, “We are peaceful, but we are not weak. Don’t test the patience of Marathi people.”
Raj Thackeray also criticized the current political environment. He said that leaders from different parties have made politics all about votes, money, and personal gain. “People are suffering, prices are rising, jobs are few, and yet leaders are busy with blame games,” he said.
He urged the youth of Maharashtra to take responsibility and stand up for the future of the state. “It is time to act. Don’t wait for change—be the change,” he said.
He also asked the people of Maharashtra to stay united and not fall for political games that create hate between communities. “We are all one people - Marathi, Hindu, Muslim, Christian -don’t let anyone divide us for their own benefit,” he added.
This speech is being seen as part of Raj Thackeray’s effort to prepare his party for the upcoming elections. MNS has been struggling to gain ground in recent years, but Thackeray’s strong stand on Marathi pride and regional issues may attract voters who feel ignored by national parties.
Raj Thackeray's powerful warning, "Try to touch Maharashtra and see what happens," is being discussed across political circles and social media. It reflects his focus on Marathi identity and his attempt to bring MNS back into the spotlight.
As the state heads towards elections, it remains to be seen how his words will influence voters and how other parties will respond. |
