Dehradun, June 19, 2025 : President of India, Droupadi Murmu, is currently on a three-day visit to Uttarakhand, and her second day—June 20—will feature several significant public engagements and inaugurations in Dehradun.
The President is staying at Rashtrapati Niketan, where she will inaugurate multiple new facilities and interact with various groups as part of her official visit.
Key events scheduled for June 20 include:
• Formal opening of Rashtrapati Niketan for public visits. The President will inaugurate the Visitor Facilitation Centre, a Cafeteria, and a Souvenir Shop to enhance the public experience.
• She will also inaugurate Rashtrapati Tapovan and lay the foundation stone for Rashtrapati Udyan located on Rajpur Road.
• Later in the day, the President will visit the National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities in Dehradun. There, she will tour an exhibition and a model science laboratory, and interact with visually impaired students.
• In the evening, she will release a commemorative postage stamp on Raj Bhavan, Nainital, marking its 125th anniversary.
On June 21, President Murmu will join a mass yoga demonstration at the Uttarakhand State Police Line Ground, Dehradun, to mark International Yoga Day.
Notably, Rashtrapati Niketan and Rashtrapati Tapovan will be opened to the public from June 24, 2025.
