Dehradun, 11 February: Jyothi Yarraji delivered an outstanding performance at the National Games 2025, clinching the gold medal in the women’s 200m event on Tuesday, February 11. She clocked an impressive 23.25 seconds, surpassing the 23.39-second qualification mark for the upcoming Asian Athletics Championship.
Karnataka’s Unnathi Aiyappa claimed the silver medal with a time of 23.70 seconds, while Telangana’s Nithya Gandhe earned bronze, finishing in 23.76 seconds. Madhya Pradesh’s Madhumita Deb narrowly missed out on a podium finish, placing fourth with a time of 23.79 seconds—just three milliseconds behind the bronze medalist.
Maharashtra’s Sudeshna Shivanka secured fifth place, completing the race in 24.48 seconds. Odisha’s Srabani Nanda followed in sixth with a time of 25.00 seconds, while Uttarakhand’s Kanishka Manchanda finished seventh at 25.46 seconds. Himachal Pradesh’s Samriti Jamwal was disqualified from the event.
