Lucknow, September 9 : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the launch of a special campaign for the swift resolution of cases related to transfer, measurement, inheritance, succession, and land use.
He emphasized that District Magistrates, SDMs, and Tehsildars should identify pending cases in their areas, make prompt decisions, and implement appropriate solutions.
The Chief Minister stated, "These cases directly impact the interests of the common people and must be resolved promptly."
Additionally, the Chief Minister has directed that accountability be established for the concerned officers if these critical cases remain unnecessarily pending.
In a special meeting with the Chairman of the Revenue Board, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary Revenue, Director General of Police, and other senior officials, the Chief Minister reviewed the ongoing efforts to make the functioning of the Revenue Board and the Revenue Department more public-friendly.
The Chief Minister emphasized that officers directly interacting with the public, such as District Magistrates, Police Superintendents, SDMs, COs, and Tehsildars, should maintain continuous dialogue with citizens. "Address the people's issues and resolve them based on merit within a specified timeframe," he said.
He also directed that Divisional Commissioners and senior Police officials carry out surprise inspections of government offices, police stations, and storehouses within their jurisdiction.
Instructing strict measures against illegal land and building occupations, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed all District Magistrates and Police Superintendents to compile a list of such cases and expedite action against the offenders.
The Chief Minister emphasized, “Illegal occupation will not be tolerated under any circumstances. We must adopt a zero-tolerance policy. In addition to removing the occupants, FIRs should be filed against them under the relevant sections.”
Addressing disputes related to consolidation cases, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of a thorough review of consolidation efforts. He advised that ongoing or pending consolidation work should be conducted meticulously according to the rules and completed within a specified timeframe.
While discussing measurement cases (paimaish) in rural areas, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized that measurement work must be carried out with the highest level of seriousness. Following case resolution, strict action should be taken against any further illegal occupation activities.
Highlighting the importance of the Revenue Board in protecting public interest, the Chief Minister stressed the need to further strengthen both the Revenue Board and the Revenue Department.
He directed that all vacant positions for Naib Tehsildar, Tehsildar, SDM, ADM (Judicial), Kanungo, and Lekhpal be filled promptly. Additionally, he called for an update to the district maps.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the need for vigilance against illegal mining activities. He advised that actions should be taken specifically at 'Zero Point,' and raids should be conducted with thorough preparation by a well-organized task force.
