Italy, 14 August : Paris Saint-Germain defeated Tottenham Hotspur 4-3 on penalties in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday, staging a remarkable comeback after trailing by two goals.
Tottenham’s Early Lead
Tottenham went 2-0 ahead in the first half through goals from Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero.
Late Equaliser for PSG
In the 84th minute, Kang-in Lee scored PSG’s first goal. Then, in stoppage time, Goncalo Ramos headed in Ousmane Dembele’s cross to make it 2-2.
Decisive Penalty Shootout
In the shootout, Dominic Solanke and Rodrigo Bentancur scored for Spurs, but Micky’s penalty was saved and Mathys Tel missed. For PSG, Nuno Mendes converted the decisive spot kick to seal the trophy for the Champions League holders.
