Aug 12, 2025 | New Delhi (Desk) : Cristiano Ronaldo has finally proposed to his long-time girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez — and she said yes! After almost nine years together, the couple is now officially engaged.

Georgina confirmed the news on Instagram, showing off a massive diamond ring with the caption, "Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives." Fans instantly flooded social media with love and congratulations.

How Ronaldo and Georgina Met
Their love story began in 2016 when Ronaldo visited a Gucci store in Madrid, where Georgina was working as a sales assistant. Both have said it was love at first sight. In the Netflix series I Am Georgina, Ronaldo admitted, “At the beginning, I didn’t think the relationship would be this strong… but she is the woman of my life.”

The couple made their first public appearance together in January 2017 at the Best FIFA Football Awards in Zurich, joined by Ronaldo’s son Cristiano Jr. A few months later, in May, they made their relationship Instagram official.

Family and Children
In 2017, Ronaldo welcomed twins Eva and Mateo via surrogacy. Shortly after, Georgina announced she was pregnant, and in November, they welcomed their daughter, Alana Martina.
