Gurugram | August 3, 2025 : In a chilling case of domestic conflict turned deadly, a 42-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by his live-in partner in Gurugram after a dispute over his continued contact with his wife and children. The man, identified as Harish, died during treatment after suffering a fatal stab wound to the chest.
Harish, a resident of Gurugram's Baliyavas, had been in a relationship with 27-year-old Yashmeet Kaur from Delhi’s Ashok Vihar. The two had been living together in DLF Phase-3 for over a year. According to reports, tensions often flared between the couple, especially when Harish visited his legal wife and children.
On Saturday night, a fight broke out between them once again, allegedly after Harish returned from meeting his family. The altercation escalated, and Kaur reportedly stabbed Harish with a knife. He was rushed to a local hospital in Gurugram but succumbed to his injuries.
Before the incident unfolded, Harish's nephew, Bharat, revealed that Harish had returned from work in Faridabad and took Rs 7 lakh from him. He left in a car driven by another individual identified as Vijay. Later that evening, around 10 PM, Harish called Bharat to inform him about a food order and instructed him to make the payment upon delivery—giving no indication of the tragedy that would soon follow.
The next morning, Bharat received a distressing call from Kaur, informing him that Harish had died. Upon reaching the hospital, he found that his uncle had sustained a stab wound to the chest.
Police have since arrested Kaur and recovered the knife used in the assault. Vijay, the man who picked Harish up earlier that evening, is currently being interrogated. Investigators are also probing the motive behind Harish’s withdrawal of Rs 7 lakh, which remains unclear at this point.
The case highlights the tragic consequences of personal disputes spiraling out of control and has left the local community in shock. Further investigation is ongoing.
