Bahraich, October 14: The situation in Bahraich is now fully under control following the arrival of senior officials at ground zero, on the directives of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. CM Yogi personally spoke with the DGP and Additional Chief Secretary (Home), instructing them to dispatch top officials to the scene and provide real-time updates.

He also ordered stringent action against the rioters, leading to the restoration of peace and order in the area. Meanwhile, police and administrative teams have launched a massive manhunt to nab all those involved in the unrest.

Taking cognizance of the Bahraich incident promptly, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath discussed the situation with DGP Prashant Kumar. Following the CM’s orders, ADG Law and Order Amitabh Yash and Home Secretary Sanjeev Gupta arrived at ground zero. To restore normalcy, 4 IPS officers, 2 ASPs, and 4 Deputy SPs were deployed. All officials have now taken charge on-site to stabilize the situation.

In addition, 12 companies of PAC, 2 companies of CRPF, and 1 company of RAF were deployed to bring the situation under control, while range and zone officers were already present at the scene. A significant police force was also dispatched from nearby areas. To restore order in Bahraich, the forces conducted thorough searches across streets and dispersed the miscreants.

Furthermore, police personnel were stationed at every corner of the area. Following CM Yogi's directives, the strict actions taken by the police and administration forced the miscreants and troublemakers to go into hiding. In response, the police launched a search operation, resulting in the detention of over 30 rioters.

DGP urges Bahraich residents to ignore rumours-

DGP Prashant Kumar stated that the situation in Bahraich is currently peaceful and well under control. He confirmed that an FIR has been filed against 10 individuals involved in the incident, including specific charges against 4 named miscreants, while efforts are underway to gather information on unidentified troublemakers.

The DGP emphasised that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is closely monitoring the situation, and on his instructions, the search for miscreants has been intensified. He assured that strict legal action will be taken against all involved. Additionally, the DGP urged local residents to remain vigilant against rumors and misinformation.
