News Image बलरामपुर :  Balrampur, June 30, 2025 : The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department is undertaking a major initiative to enhance the spiritual and tourist appeal of the revered Shaktipeeth Devipatan Temple, located in Balrampur district. Pilgrims visiting the temple will now experience a unique combination of culture, history, and cutting-edge technology. As part of the project, a floating musical fountain, a state-of-the-art multimedia laser show, beam projectors, and video projections on water screens will be installed within the temple premises. A total budget of ₹7.83 crore has been sanctioned for the project.

Government of Uttar Pradesh. He stated that the project will not only enhance the temple’s visual appeal but also attract more tourists and devotees. The state government envisions Devipatan emerging not only as a prominent religious centre but also gaining recognition as a global tourism destination. Through modern installations, visitors will witness a spectacular blend of ancient stories and modern innovation. The laser show will feature a custom-scripted audio-visual presentation including live action footage, animations, illustrations, voice narration, and music.

The Minister added that a special presentation is being prepared to highlight the spiritual, historical, and cultural significance of the Devipatan region. The show will be developed to be engaging, authentic, and culturally relevant, aiming to narrate the glorious heritage of Devipatan in a captivating manner and to provide visitors with an unforgettable experience. The initiative will also directly benefit the local population. An increase in tourist footfall is expected to generate new employment opportunities for local residents, while also giving a boost to the regional economy. Local shopkeepers, guides, handicraft vendors, and transport service providers are all likely to see a rise in their income. Tourists, on the other hand, will enjoy a rich and memorable experience, one that is spiritually fulfilling while also being culturally immersive and technologically engaging.

Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh stated that this initiative at Devipatan Temple represents the government’s vision of integrating tradition with technology. Through a stunning symphony of sound, light, and storytelling, the state is not only enhancing the spiritual atmosphere but also opening new avenues for cultural tourism. This is a significant step toward establishing Uttar Pradesh as a leader in unforgettable heritage tourism experiences. It is hoped that Devipatan and Balrampur district will soon emerge as key destinations on the cultural tourism map of Uttar Pradesh.
