iPhone 17 Price Around the World: Where It’s Cheapest and Where It’ll Break Your Bank

New Delhi | September 10, 2025 — The iPhone 17 is finally here. Sleeker, more powerful, and packed with upgrades—including double the storage compared to the iPhone 16—it has already become the biggest tech conversation of the year. But beyond the features, one question always makes headlines: Where can you buy the new iPhone at the cheapest price? The answer, as always, varies depending on where you live. In India, the iPhone 17 will cost ₹82,900, a slight bump from last year’s starting price of the iPhone 16. However, Apple has sweetened the deal—while the iPhone 16 launched with 128GB of storage, the iPhone 17 now starts with 256GB, giving users double the space for just about ₹3,000 more. But if you’re hunting for the lowest price tag, the United States remains unbeatable. At $799, the iPhone 17 is roughly ₹71,000 when converted, making it the most affordable market for Apple’s flagship. There’s a small catch though: in the US, the device will be sold as an eSIM-only model, so anyone relying on physical SIM cards might face a challenge. Japan and the UAE also come close to the cheaper end of the scale. In Japan, the iPhone 17 is priced at around ₹78,000, while in the UAE, buyers will pay roughly ₹75,000. For Apple fans in these regions, the pricing feels more competitive compared to Europe or India. On the other end of the spectrum, European markets remain some of the most expensive. In Germany, the iPhone 17 starts at nearly ₹98,000, while in the UK, buyers will shell out a hefty ₹1.14 lakh. Taxes and import duties largely explain the difference, but for consumers, it’s simply another reminder of how geography can dictate tech affordability. The story doesn’t end with just the base iPhone 17. Apple has also launched the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, with prices climbing sharply—starting at ₹1,34,900 and ₹1,49,900 in India, respectively. For the first time, Apple has even introduced a 2TB storage option on the Pro Max, priced at a staggering ₹2,29,900. The lineup also includes the iPhone Air, marketed as the slimmest iPhone ever, with a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display, Titanium frame, and the new A19 Pro chip. So, while the US wins as the cheapest country to grab the iPhone 17, Europe tops the charts as the costliest. For Indian buyers, the price sits somewhere in between—higher than Japan and the UAE, but still competitive given the doubled storage. One thing is certain: no matter where you buy it, Apple’s latest flagship isn’t just a phone—it’s a statement iPhone 17 Price Shock: Cheapest and Costliest Countries Revealed The iPhone 17 is finally here – but depending on where you buy it, your wallet might feel very different.
