Dehradun, October 11, 2026 Dehradun Police have taken action against a man facing multiple criminal cases by enforcing a six-month externment order. In a public display of the action, police escorted him to the district border, where drums were beaten and an announcement was made over a loudspeaker. On Saturday, Nehru Colony Police took Ashish Rangad, a resident of Mata Mandir Road in Motharowala, to the Saharanpur border and sent him out of Dehradun district. The police also beat drums and made a public announcement through a loudspeaker during the process. According to police, four cases have been registered against Rangad, including three cases from 2025 and one from 2023. The cases involve assault, threats and other offences. Police had submitted a report to the District Magistrate under Section 3(1) of the Uttarakhand Goonda Control Act, recommending action against Rangad.
