Ahmedabad, Oct 22: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel extended warm greetings to citizens on the occasion of Vikram Samvat 2082, urging them to embrace the spirit of progress, self-reliance, and community development. The Chief Minister expressed hope that the New Year brings prosperity to Gujarat and propels the state toward new heights of development and growth within the nation. On the auspicious first day of the New Year, CM Patel visited the Bhadrakali Mata Temple near Lal Darwaja in Ahmedabad. He offered prayers for the happiness, peace, and prosperity of all citizens, seeking blessings for Gujarat’s continued growth. The visit highlighted the cultural and spiritual significance of the New Year in connecting communities and promoting collective well-being. Following the temple visit, CM Patel extended his greetings at the Annexe Circuit House, Shahibag, where citizens, local leaders, and dignitaries gathered to exchange New Year wishes. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister encouraged citizens to actively support the initiatives of ‘Har Ghar Swadeshi’ and ‘Vocal for Local’, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of building an Atmanirbhar Bharat. He emphasized that every citizen’s contribution can play a significant role in shaping a self-reliant and progressive Gujarat. The event at Shahibag was attended by prominent figures, including State President Jagdish Vishwakarma, Minister of State for Urban Development and Urban Housing Darshna Vaghela, MP Dinesh Makwana, Ahmedabad Mayor Pratibha Jain, local MLAs, and several community leaders. Citizens participated enthusiastically, reflecting the widespread public engagement and festive spirit that marks the beginning of the Vikram Samvat calendar. Later in the day, CM Patel visited the Police Officers’ Mess at Shahibaug Dafnala to extend greetings to senior police officials and their families. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, Chief Secretary Pankaj Joshi, Director General of Police Vikas Sahay, Ahmedabad City Police Commissioner GS Malik, and other senior officers were present. The Chief Minister lauded the police force for their dedication and service to the community, emphasizing that the support of law enforcement remains crucial in maintaining peace and security in the state. Through his interactions at various venues, CM Patel highlighted the importance of unity, cultural values, and public participation in the state’s development journey. He encouraged citizens to work together in realizing a developed Gujarat, fostering economic growth, social harmony, and sustainable progress. Sharing his thoughts on social media, CM Patel wrote, “On the auspicious commencement of the New Year, citizens exchanged greetings at Annexe Circuit House, Shahibag.
