The threats, sent through anonymous emails to the official court email IDs, prompted immediate police action and extensive security checks at all three locations. According to police officials, the Rajnandgaon district court received a threatening email at around 10:07 a.m., warning of a suicide attack using RDX-based improvised explosive devices. The message also claimed that judges should be evacuated from the premises by 2:35 p.m. Following the alert, senior district officials, including the District Collector and Superintendent of Police, were informed and directed to implement strict security measures. Police teams, along with the Bomb Disposal Squad and dog squad, were rushed to the courts, and the premises were evacuated as a precaution. A thorough search operation was carried out across the buildings and surrounding areas. Officials later confirmed that no explosive material, suspicious objects or dangerous items were found during the checks. Similar threat emails were also received by the Durg and Bilaspur district courts, triggering parallel security responses at both locations. Police have launched an investigation to trace the origin of the emails and identify the sender, while security around court premises in the state has been tightened as a precautionary measure. Similar threat emails were reported at the Durg and Bilaspur district courts, prompting parallel security operations. Police have begun investigating the source of the threat emails, while security arrangements around court premises across the state have been strengthened. Officials said cyber teams are also assisting in tracing the origin of the emails. Authorities have appealed for calm, stating that court functioning will resume only after complete security clearance is ensured.
