Lucknow, 15 Sep, 2025 08:59 PMVijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, September 15, 2025 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu today convened a crucial two-day Collectors' Conference, with the goal of reviewing departmental progress and ensuring the effective implementation of government schemes. The conference, held at the Secretariat's Fifth Block, brought together district collectors and officials to provide a comprehensive update on the state's development initiatives.
On the first day, discussions centered on the state's economic performance, with a detailed presentation on the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP). The focus was on key sectors, including agriculture, industries, tourism, and housing, with collectors presenting district-wise updates on progress. The agenda also included a review of the administration's flagship "Super Six" welfare schemes and the functioning of "Anna Canteens," which provide low-cost meals.
The conference is a critical part of the government's strategy to streamline governance and enhance public service delivery. The Chief Minister, who has been actively working to revive and expand projects from the previous administration, is using this platform to ensure that the momentum of development is maintained. The discussions also touched upon infrastructure and logistics, including the status of roads, ports, airports, and irrigation projects.
On the second day, the conference is scheduled to focus on human resource development, with discussions on healthcare, education, and skill development. It will also review the performance of revenue-generating departments and conclude with a review of the law and order situation, where the Chief Minister will issue directives to district superintendents of police and collectors. The conference is seen as a key mechanism for the state leadership to stay informed and ensure that its vision for a "developed Andhra Pradesh" is translated into tangible results at the grassroots level.
