PM MITRA Park in Dhar Attracts Over ₹23,000 Crore Investment Ahead of Inauguration

Indore, September 16, 2025

The PM Mega Integrated Textile and Apparel (MITRA) Park in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, is drawing major investor attention ahead of its planned inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, 2025. The park has already secured commitment from textile and apparel businesses amounting to over ₹23,000 crore. Covering around 2,158 acres, the PM MITRA Park is envisioned as an integrated textile and garment hub that consolidates the supply chain—from raw material sourcing to manufacturing and logistics. Its strategic location in Dhar, a district with strong cotton production, is being cited as one of the main advantages by investors. Notable investors from other states have pledged large amounts: for instance, a company from Tamil Nadu is investing about ₹981 crore, citing the park’s favorable policies and infrastructure, while an investor from Indore has committed around ₹472 crore. The park is being positioned as a boost to both exports and domestic textile consumption. The park is designed to have eco-friendly, sustainable infrastructure. It aims to reduce logistical costs, improve manufacturing efficiencies, and create employment in manufacturing clusters. Several textile and apparel firms have already begun land acquisition and preliminary construction. This development is viewed as a key plank in Madhya Pradesh’s industrial growth strategy. The state government hopes that the park will catalyze ancillary industries like textile machinery, packaging, dyes, and logistics. Analysts believe that if executed well, PM MITRA Park could become a model for future textile hubs, especially in those regions with agricultural raw material strength but under-utilized industrial infrastructure.
