The annual event recognises exceptional performances across international, domestic and age-group cricket, while also honouring individuals who have made long-lasting contributions to the development of the sport in the country. At this year’s ceremony, Roger Binny and Rahul Dravid will receive the prestigious Col. C. K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award, considered the highest honour given by the board for service to Indian cricket. The award recognises their decades of dedication as players, mentors and leaders who helped shape the game in India. Meanwhile, Mithali Raj will be presented with the BCCI Lifetime Achievement Award for Women for her remarkable role in elevating women’s cricket and inspiring a new generation of players. Binny, a key member of India’s historic 1983 Cricket World Cup winning team, played a major role in that tournament as the highest wicket-taker. After his playing career, he continued to contribute as a coach, selector and administrator. He also served as the 36th president of the BCCI from 2022 to 2025. Dravid, widely respected for his calm batting style and strong technique, scored more than 24,000 international runs during his career. After retirement, he helped develop young talent through the National Cricket Academy and later guided India as head coach, including the team’s triumph at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. Mithali Raj, one of the greatest figures in women’s cricket, will be honoured for her exceptional international career that lasted more than two decades. As the highest run-scorer in women’s ODIs with 7,805 runs, she played a key role in strengthening the profile of women’s cricket in India and led the national team to two ICC Women's Cricket World Cup finals. The awards ceremony will also recognise several top performers from the 2024-25 season. Shubman Gill will receive the Polly Umrigar Award for Best International Cricketer (Men), while Smriti Mandhana will be honoured as Best International Cricketer (Women) for the fifth time. Domestic stars such as Ira Jadhav, Shafali Verma, Ayush Mhatre and Harsh Dubey will also be recognised for their impressive performances during the season. One of the biggest highlights of the Naman Awards 2026 will be the honouring of five Indian teams that won ICC titles. These include the men’s team that lifted the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, the women’s team that won the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025, and the Under-19 men’s and women’s teams that secured their respective world titles. Through this celebration, the Naman Awards continue to recognise the achievements that define Indian cricket’s legacy and future.
