Yash Shows No Concern Over ‘Dhurandhar 2’ Clash, Says He Is Looking Forward to the Sequel

Maharashtra | 10 March 2026 Speculation about a rivalry between the upcoming films Toxic and Dhurandhar 2 has been circulating widely, especially after the release date of Toxic was postponed. Initially, both movies were scheduled to hit theatres on March 19. However, the makers of Toxic later moved the release to June 4, which led to rumours that the change was made to avoid competition with the sequel starring Ranveer Singh. Reports now suggest that such assumptions are inaccurate and that there is no concern from Toxic’s team about competing at the box office. According to sources quoted in reports, actor and co-producer Yash does not view the situation as a rivalry. In fact, he is said to be excited about the upcoming sequel. A source said, “Yash loved Dhurandhar and is looking forward to Part 2. All the rivalry, anxiety and competitiveness is created by outsiders desirous of juicing the so-called competition between the two films.” The statement indicates that the speculation about tension between the two projects is largely driven by external discussions rather than the filmmakers themselves. The makers of Toxic clarified earlier that the film’s release was postponed mainly due to the uncertain situation in the Middle East, which could affect its international reach. In a statement issued on March 5, the team explained, “After years of dedicated labour, we were excited to share our film with you all on the 19th of March. However, the current uncertainty, especially in the Middle East, has created a situation that impacts our goal to reach and connect with the widest possible audience. Therefore, in the interest of our partners and our audience, we have made the difficult but carefully considered decision to reschedule our release.” The film is directed by Geetu Mohandas and features a star cast including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2, directed by Aditya Dhar, remains on track for its March 19 release. The film is a sequel to the 2025 blockbuster Dhurandhar and is expected to be a major action release in 2026. Reports suggest that the film may not release in some Gulf countries due to its perceived political themes, but it is still set for a theatrical clash with Ustaad Bhagat Singh starring Pawan Kalyan. Despite online fan debates, industry insiders say the competition between the films is largely exaggerated. Yash Shows No Concern Over ‘Dhurandhar 2’ Competition as Toxic Release Gets Postponed Speculation about a rivalry between Toxic starring Yash and Dhurandhar 2 featuring Ranveer Singh started after Toxic’s release date was moved from March 19 to June 4. According to sources, Yash does not see Dhurandhar 2 as a threat and is actually excited to watch the sequel. A source said, “Yash loved Dhurandhar and is looking forward to Part 2.
