Directed by Aditya Dhar and headlined by Ranveer Singh, the film has emerged as the biggest global blockbuster in Indian cinema, setting new benchmarks with its extraordinary opening week performance. According to the makers, including Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film earned ₹814 crore gross in India and ₹274 crore overseas. Its net collection in India stood at ₹690 crore for the week. The film maintained a strong hold throughout the weekdays after a record-breaking opening weekend, reflecting consistent audience interest across markets. The sequel has reportedly achieved multiple milestones, including the fastest Indian film to cross the ₹1,000 crore mark globally, the highest opening weekend collection, and one of the strongest weekday performances ever. It also became the first Indian film to cross ₹100 crore in a single day in one language, earning ₹145 crore through previews and opening day collections in India.
