NEET UG 2026 Results Announced: Over 11.21 Lakh Candidates Qualify

New Delhi, July 17, 2026 The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the NEET UG 2026 results, marking a major milestone for medical aspirants across the country. The examination witnessed participation from nearly 20 lakh candidates, reflecting the intense competition for admission to undergraduate medical courses. The latest results also highlight outstanding academic performances by top-ranking students. Aryan Gupta of Punjab and Panshul Bansal of Haryana emerged as the top performers, securing 715 out of 720 marks and earning the highest ranks through the official tie-breaking process. According to the NTA, 138 candidates scored above 690 marks, while 19 candidates crossed the 700-mark milestone, showcasing the high level of merit achieved in this year's examination. A total of 11,21,185 candidates qualified for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other undergraduate medical programmes. More than 58% of the successful candidates are women, reflecting their strong participation and impressive performance. Among the qualified candidates, 5.12 lakh belong to the OBC-NCL category, followed by 2.91 lakh from the General category, 1.59 lakh SC, 95,026 Gen-EWS, 63,716 ST, and 3,666 PwBD candidates. The General category qualifying cut-off ranged from 715 to 213 marks, while cut-offs varied across other categories. The declaration of the NEET UG 2026 results now paves the way for the counselling and admission process across medical institutions in India. With more than 11 lakh successful candidates competing for seats, the examination once again underlines the growing demand for medical education and the high standards required to secure admission.
