UP Cabinet Set to Clear Key Proposals, Focus on Wheat Procurement and Development Policies

Lucknow | 22 March 2026 A crucial cabinet meeting chaired by Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to take place on Monday, March 23, at Lok Bhavan, where more than two dozen important proposals are expected to be approved. The meeting is likely to focus on key issues related to state development, administrative decisions, and public welfare. One of the major highlights of the sitting will be the discussion on the wheat procurement policy, along with proposals from departments such as housing, industry, secondary education, public works, and the Namami Gange and rural water supply sectors. Sources indicate that a proposal related to the Uttar Pradesh Private Business Park Development Scheme may also be presented for approval. Additionally, under the investment promotion policy, the government may consider providing financial assistance to several industries to boost economic growth. Due to rising global costs, the government is also expected to approve additional funds for procurement-related materials such as storage bags used during wheat purchase operations. Following the cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister has convened another meeting with all ministers at 11:30 AM at Lok Bhavan.
