Apple to Invest ₹100 Crore in India’s Renewable Energy Sector

New Delhi, May 7, 2026 Apple has announced a fresh investment of ₹100 crore in India aimed at boosting clean and renewable energy projects. The initiative reflects the company’s continued focus on sustainability and its broader target of achieving carbon neutrality across its global operations by 2030. The investment will be implemented in partnership with renewable energy developer CleanMax. Together, they plan to develop over 150 megawatts of new renewable energy capacity across India, supporting the country’s shift toward cleaner power sources in commercial and industrial usage. The planned capacity is expected to generate electricity sufficient to power around 150,000 households annually. This step also builds on Apple’s earlier clean energy efforts in India, including solar energy installations supporting its operations and retail network. The move strengthens Apple’s commitment to sustainable development in India while contributing to the expansion of renewable energy infrastructure and accelerating the transition toward greener power solutions.
