‘This Love of Yours Will Remain’: PM Modi Thanks Nation After Record Digital Response

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s latest social media outreach has become a landmark moment in digital engagement, drawing extraordinary public attention at a time when the country is witnessing widespread discussions over examination integrity. While large-scale student demonstrations continue over alleged paper leaks, the Prime Minister’s direct communication through Instagram has generated record-breaking online participation, highlighting the growing influence of digital platforms in shaping public discourse.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has achieved a remarkable digital milestone after one of his Instagram reels crossed more than 303 million views within 24 hours, setting a new global benchmark for viewership on the platform. The figure surpasses the previous worldwide record of 300 million views, with the achievement coming amid continuing student protests at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.

Following the historic response, the Prime Minister shared another video message on social media beginning with the words, “Thank you friends,” expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support and the valuable suggestions received from young people across the country.

The message came after the Prime Minister released a rare late-night selfie video addressing growing public concern over examination paper leaks. In that video, he assured students that the government would deal firmly with those responsible for such irregularities.

Meanwhile, demonstrations at Jantar Mantar have continued, with thousands of students and young protesters demanding accountability and comprehensive reforms following alleged irregularities in competitive examinations.

Amid the ongoing protests and increasing political scrutiny, Prime Minister Modi chose to communicate directly with the younger generation through digital platforms. He emphasised that the government considers examination paper leaks a serious issue requiring decisive action.

During his earlier midnight address, which triggered unprecedented online engagement and reportedly added nearly one million followers overnight, the Prime Minister outlined measures taken over the previous two-and-a-half months. He said the government’s foremost priority had been to ensure that students did not lose an important academic year, highlighting the swift efforts made to conduct re-examinations.

He also announced that the Union Cabinet would proceed with a stringent legal framework featuring fast-track courts and strict punishment for individuals and organised networks involved in examination paper leaks.

In his latest video, Prime Minister Modi thanked citizens for their active participation in the discussion, saying that feedback from young people strengthens the connection between the government and the public.

“This love of yours will remain, and our bond will continue to connect with even more vibrancy,” the Prime Minister stated, thanking supporters for their constructive engagement.

The Prime Minister’s record-breaking digital reach, coupled with his repeated assurances on examination reforms, has placed the issue of paper leaks at the centre of both online conversation and public policy. As the government moves ahead with proposed legal measures and students continue to demand accountability, the debate over examination transparency is expected to remain a key national issue in the coming weeks.
