PM Modi Pushes Faster Reforms for Viksit Bharat 2047

The meeting reflected the Centre’s growing emphasis on improving administrative efficiency and accelerating development initiatives aimed at transforming India into a developed nation by the centenary year of Independence. During the nearly four-and-a-half-hour discussion, ministers reviewed the progress of key government programmes and explored ways to improve both “Ease of Living” and “Ease of Doing Business.”
PM Modi stressed the importance of quicker decision-making and faster disposal of pending work to ensure smoother governance and better delivery of public services across departments. The meeting also included presentations from several ministries, including Agriculture, Commerce, Labour, Power, External Affairs, and Road Transport. Discussions reportedly touched upon global developments, including the West Asia crisis and its possible economic impact on India. The Prime Minister further encouraged ministries to adopt a governance approach focused on “minimum interference, maximum support” to make systems more effective and citizen-friendly.
The discussions reinforced the government’s broader roadmap for inclusive growth, administrative reforms, and long-term national development under the “Viksit Bharat 2047” mission. The meeting highlighted the Centre’s intent to maintain policy momentum while strengthening governance mechanisms to support India’s future economic and social goals.
