Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid homage to the late leader, saying, “A humble tribute on the death anniversary of Sushma Swaraj ji-an eloquent orator, a sensitive leader of the people, a former External Affairs Minister, and a recipient of the ‘Padma Vibhushan’ who regarded service to the nation as a sacred duty, public welfare as a solemn resolve, and India’s prestige as a responsibility.” He further added, “Her life stands as a shining chapter of devotion to the nation, public service, and the dignity of noble democratic values.” External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar also remembered her on social media, stating, “Fondly remember Sushma Swaraj ji on her Punya Tithi today.
