Lucknow, 5 Feb, 2026 09:18 PMMaharashtra | 5 Feb 2026 BJP MP and actor Kangana Ranaut launched a sharp attack on Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi outside Parliament on Wednesday, criticising his remarks linked to the controversial “Epstein files.” Speaking to reporters during the ongoing Budget Session, Ranaut accused Gandhi of using objectionable language and undermining the dignity of Parliament with his statements. Reacting strongly, Ranaut questioned Gandhi’s choice of words and said his comments reflected a disturbing mindset. “Look at his choice of words… the way he spoke about the Epstein files too, saying there is more ‘maal’ and ‘kebab’ in it. What can you expect from a person with such a rotten and corrupt mindset?” she said, calling the remarks unacceptable for a senior parliamentarian. Ranaut further alleged that Gandhi shows little respect for parliamentary decorum and often disrupts proceedings instead of contributing to meaningful discussion. “He has no regard for parliamentary decorum. He only creates chaos,” she said, adding that such behaviour weakens democratic debate and lowers political standards inside the House. The controversy erupted after Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of being “compromised” due to possible revelations linked to the Epstein files and legal issues involving industrialist Gautam Adani. Gandhi claimed this pressure had led to decisions that “sold out” Indian farmers, especially in relation to the India–US trade deal. However, it was his reference to “maal and kebab” while talking about the files that triggered Ranaut’s strong response, further intensifying tensions during the Budget Session.
