India-UAE Partnership Gains New Momentum Ahead of PM Modi’s Visit

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Abu Dhabi, Indian Ambassador Deepak Mittal highlighted how the relationship between the two nations has evolved into a strong economic and geopolitical collaboration backed by consistent high-level engagement. Deepak Mittal said the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) has played a major role in expanding bilateral trade, which has crossed the 100-billion-dollar mark for the second consecutive year. The agreement has accelerated growth in non-oil sectors, while both countries continue to work towards achieving a trade target of 200 billion dollars by 2032. Energy cooperation remains one of the strongest pillars of the partnership, with the UAE continuing to be a key supplier of crude oil, LNG and LPG to India. At the same time, both nations are expanding cooperation in areas such as artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, logistics, defence and maritime development, reflecting a broader strategic alignment for the future. The visit is expected to further deepen economic ties and open new opportunities for collaboration across emerging sectors. With trade, investment and innovation driving the relationship forward, India and the UAE are steadily shaping a partnership with growing regional and global significance.
