India Showcases Culture and Heritage at State Dinner for Vietnam President

The visit was marked by ceremonial warmth and a special focus on strengthening bilateral ties through cultural exchange, symbolic gifts, and traditional Indian hospitality. As part of the official welcome, the Vietnamese President was presented with a brass Buddha along with a Bodhi tree and “Namoh 108”, a special lotus variety. The gifts symbolised India’s spiritual heritage and artistic craftsmanship, reflecting deep-rooted cultural traditions and shared values of peace and harmony. The state dinner at Rashtrapati Bhavan featured a curated menu showcasing regional cuisines from Bihar and Maharashtra. Dishes such as Silao Khaja, Gaya Anarsa, Mithila Makhana, and Ratnagiri mango highlighted India’s diverse culinary landscape, offering the guest a taste of authentic regional flavours. The entire event reflected India’s use of cultural diplomacy to deepen international relations. Through symbolic gifts and traditional cuisine, India presented its heritage as a bridge for stronger engagement with Vietnam, reinforcing mutual respect and growing partnership between the two nations.
