CJP Spokesperson’s Links Under Fresh Scrutiny
YUGVARTA NEWS
Lucknow, 22 Aug, 2026 07:09 PMNew Delhi, August 22, 2026 Ashutosh Ranka, a spokesperson associated with CJP, has come under renewed attention after activist Vijay Patel highlighted his professional connections and possible network links. The issue gained further traction when information that had earlier been publicly available about Ranka was reportedly removed from the concerned organisation’s website after the matter was raised publicly. The information had linked Ranka to Kinaura Partners, formerly known as Global Health Vision, and indicated that he was able to continue his grassroots and protest-related activities while being associated with the organisation. “Outside of work, Ashutosh is engaged in grassroots campaigns in India, focusing primarily on environment, health, and education,” the website of Kinaura Partners read. His LinkedIn profile reportedly continues to list him as a senior associate at Global Health Visions, even though information about him was later removed from the organisation’s website. The spotlight has also fallen on the wider network connected to Kinaura Partners, including Emily Bell, a founding senior consultant who has been described as having prepared speeches and social media strategy for George Soros. Soros, a Hungarian-American businessman and self-described philanthropist, has been associated with funding NGOs, liberal causes and movements across different countries. He has frequently criticised nationalist and conservative governments and has also spoken against the Narendra Modi-led government. His comments on the Adani crisis, in which he said it could weaken the Modi government and lead to a “democratic revival” in India, had also drawn significant attention. Critics have linked Soros-backed networks to organisations, media platforms, activists, academic institutions and protest movements that have taken positions against the Indian government, with some describing such efforts as attempts to encourage a “colour revolution.” This viewpoint includes references to organisations such as Freedom House and V-Dem, as well as movements including the Anti-CAA and farm law protests. Against this backdrop, the reported removal of information related to Ranka’s professional association after Vijay Patel’s exposé has brought fresh focus to questions surrounding his connections, sources of support and the wider network linked to his activism.
