CBI Arrests Fourth Accused in Suvendu Aide Murder case

The CBI detained Rajkumar Singh from Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, marking another major development in the high-profile case that has already sparked intense political debate in West Bengal. According to officials, Rajkumar Singh was allegedly involved in the planned attack on Rath, who was shot dead in Madhyamgram shortly after the West
Bengal Assembly election results. Investigators tracked the accused through surveillance inputs after he reportedly escaped earlier raids. He was eventually intercepted near the Chhapar toll plaza while returning from Haridwar with his family.
The probe has so far revealed details about the suspected conspiracy behind the murder, including the use of a vehicle with fake number plates to avoid identification. Earlier, three other accused had already been arrested in connection with the case, and the agency is continuing its investigation to uncover the complete network linked to the crime.
The murder case has remained politically sensitive since the incident took place, with allegations and counter-allegations continuing between rival parties in West Bengal. With the latest arrest, investigators are now focusing on establishing the full sequence of events and identifying everyone connected to the conspiracy.
