BJP’s Historic Bengal Win Ends Mamata Banerjee’s Long Rule

Kolkata, May 4, 2026 The 2026 West Bengal Assembly election marks a dramatic political shift, highlighting a decisive change in voter sentiment and power dynamics in the state. The dominant theme of this election is the rise of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in a region long governed by the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC), signaling a new political chapter.
