Amit Shah Highlights BSF’s Growing Role in National Security

He said the Border Security Force has emerged as one of the world’s most capable border guarding forces, playing a key role in protecting the country under difficult conditions. During his address, Shah underlined the government’s efforts to strengthen border management through better coordination, advanced technology and continuous vigilance.
He noted that evolving security challenges require stronger systems and quicker responses, adding that the BSF has consistently adapted to changing situations along the borders. The Home Minister praised BSF personnel for their courage and dedication, saying they continue to safeguard the nation with commitment in every circumstance.
He also acknowledged the force’s contribution in several critical operations and highlighted the sacrifices made by jawans while serving in demanding environments. Officers and personnel were honoured during the programme for their distinguished service and bravery. Concluding his speech, Amit Shah reiterated that national security remains the government’s top priority and said the BSF will continue to play a crucial role in facing future challenges.
His remarks reflected the Centre’s continued focus on strengthening security forces and reinforcing India’s border protection system.
