Amit Shah Criticises Congress Over AI Summit Protests, Highlights Development Initiatives in Assam

Delhi : Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday strongly criticised the Congress party during a public address, accusing it of undermining national interests and opposing developmental initiatives. Referring to recent events, he alleged that Congress members protested against India during an international AI summit held in Delhi, which saw participation from global experts, companies, and leaders from several countries.

Shah questioned the opposition’s stance, asking whether such protests were justified at a time when India is hosting global platforms to promote innovation and technological advancement. He said the summit aimed to create better opportunities for youth, particularly in emerging sectors like artificial intelligence, and added that such initiatives are crucial for the country’s future growth.

Highlighting development efforts, he pointed to initiatives led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including efforts to promote advanced industries such as semiconductor manufacturing. He also praised Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for working towards expanding educational infrastructure, including plans to establish medical and engineering colleges across districts.

The Home Minister urged people to support development-oriented policies and called for greater public awareness regarding political actions that may affect national progress. His remarks come amid ongoing political exchanges between the ruling party and the opposition over governance, development, and policy priorities.
