AtiqAhmad's Youngest Son Aban Ahmad Dies in Jhansi Road Accident

Lucknow, August 06, 2026 A tragic road accident in Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi district claimed the life of Aban Ahmad, the youngest son of slain gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmad, along with one of his friends on Thursday. Their SUV reportedly crashed into a road divider after the driver lost control of the vehicle. The incident also left three other passengers injured. According to Senior Superintendent of Police BBGTS Murthy, authorities received information about the accident at around 10:30 am. Police rushed to the scene and confirmed that two people died on the spot, while three others sustained injuries. The injured were shifted to the government medical college, where they are currently undergoing treatment. Police identified the deceased as Aban Ahmad, a resident of Prayagraj and son of Atiq Ahmad, and Sonu, son of Raja. Officials said the accident took place when Aban was travelling to Jhansi to meet his two brothers, who are currently lodged in a jail in the city. The police have begun the necessary legal procedures and are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. The incident has drawn attention due to Aban Ahmad's connection to the late Atiq Ahmad, while authorities remain focused on the accident investigation.
