Transparent Recruitment and Equal Opportunity Key to Governance: CM Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday emphasised the state government’s commitment to transparency and fairness in recruitment, stating that all appointments and welfare benefits are being delivered without discrimination. Addressing newly appointed candidates, he said the “double-engine government” ensures that every section of society receives equal opportunity based on merit and established reservation norms. The Chief Minister highlighted that while merit remains the primary criterion, provisions for reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, differently-abled individuals, and ex-servicemen are being fully implemented. He added that both horizontal and vertical reservation systems are being followed strictly to maintain inclusivity and fairness in the recruitment process. Pointing to the government’s track record, Adityanath said that more than 9 lakh government jobs have been provided in the last nine years, claiming it to be among the highest by any state in the country. He underlined that the recruitment process is conducted in a transparent manner, free from any recommendations or financial influence, with independent agencies and commissions overseeing the entire selection system. He further stated that even the government does not interfere in the selection process, as it is handled by authorised bodies that ensure accountability. Congratulating the newly appointed candidates, the Chief Minister said their success reflects their hard work and merit. He added that their contribution to the healthcare and education sectors would play a crucial role in strengthening public services in the state.
