‘Noida violence a test case; conspiracy to destabilize metro cities’

Lucknow/Noida, April 20 : Renowned advocate Mahesh Jethmalani has refused to treat the recent violence in Noida, carried out in the name of a labor protest, as an ordinary incident. He described it as a planned “test case” aimed at assessing how organized violence could be spread in metro cities. Due to the swift and strict action taken under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the situation in Noida was brought under complete control within a few hours, and a major conspiracy was thwarted in time.

Referring to an “urban radical network,” Jethmalani said such incidents point toward a new strategy to incite violence in urban regions. According to him, the Noida incident was an experiment to test how unrest could be orchestrated in metropolitan cities. Acting on Chief Minister’s directives, the administration immediately intervened and fully restored law and order. At the same time, prompt decisions were taken in the interest of workers, leading to cooperation from both laborers and industry, and industrial activities quickly returned to normal.

According to sources, the investigation revealed that the incident was not merely about labor unrest but part of a larger, premeditated conspiracy. Out of 66 people arrested, 45 were not workers. Of the 17 individuals identified in arson cases, 11 have been arrested, including 8 non-workers.

In connection with incitement, 32 individuals were identified, of whom 19 have been arrested. Additionally, 34 more individuals, who were not workers, were detained for allegedly attempting to disrupt the situation by participating in the so-called protest. The alleged mastermind behind the entire incident has also been apprehended.

The entire episode is being seen as part of a conspiracy to destabilize an industrial hub like Noida and harm the state’s economy. The role of certain organized networks, Pakistani social media handles, and external elements is also under investigation. Attempts to incite unrest and spread misinformation through social media have also come to light.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made it clear that strict action will continue against those who attempt to disturb law and order. The vigilance and prompt response of the state government have demonstrated that even large-scale conspiracies can be foiled in time in Uttar Pradesh.
