Tokyo/Lucknow, February 25 : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has initiated major investment dialogues on the very first day of his Japan visit, aiming to make Uttar Pradesh a strong hub for global supply chains and high-value manufacturing.

The Chief Minister held an extensive meeting with Shigeki Tanabe, Senior Managing Executive Officer and Executive General Manager (Sales Management Division/Domestic Business In-charge), Konoike Transport Co. Ltd. During the meeting, serious discussions were held on investment opportunities in logistics parks, warehousing, multi-modal transport infrastructure, and medical device manufacturing in Uttar Pradesh.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized that the geographical and industrial landscape of Uttar Pradesh now presents exceptional opportunities for investors. The state is directly connected to the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) network, which ensures faster and more cost-competitive freight movement. This facility offers great potential for export-oriented industries and investors connected to the global supply chain.

Moreover, Chief Minister made a special mention of the Medical Device Park being developed in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region, stating that this project provides a highly conducive ecosystem for Japanese companies. With modern infrastructure, excellent connectivity, policy support, and a single-window clearance system, this area is becoming an ideal destination for high-value manufacturing.

Reaffirming his commitment to strengthening India-Japan industrial cooperation, Chief Minister said, "Uttar Pradesh not only provides land and infrastructure to investors but also offers policy stability, a skilled workforce, and a government known for swift decision-making".

On his arrival in Japan’s capital Tokyo, Chief Minister was accorded a ceremonial welcome. He was received by Junichi Ishidera, Vice Governor of Yamanashi Prefecture. On this occasion, India’s Ambassador to Japan, Nagma M. Malik, and members of the Indian community were also present. CM Yogi’s visit is being seen as a symbol of Uttar Pradesh’s expanding global engagement and the deepening strategic and economic ties between India and Japan.

After arriving in Tokyo, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his feelings on social media platform X in a unique manner. From his official handle, he wrote, “Abhi Japan ki Rajdhani Tokyo pahucha hoon. Ugate Sooraj ki Navonmeshi Bhoomi ko Prabhu Shree Ram ki pawan dhara ke 'Aditya' ka Namashkar".
