New Delhi | 10 March 2026 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended his greetings to the personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force on the occasion of its Raising Day. The Prime Minister shared his message through a post on X, acknowledging the dedication and service of the force in protecting the country’s vital assets and infrastructure. In his message, the Prime Minister wrote, “Warm greetings to all personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force on their Raising Day.” He also appreciated the professionalism and commitment of the force, highlighting the important role it plays in ensuring national security. Recognising the contribution of the security personnel, PM Modi added, “Known for their determination, discipline and dedication, CISF plays a vital role in safeguarding critical infrastructure across the nation. Their unwavering commitment to duty contributes greatly to India’s security and progress.” CISF Raising Day is observed every year on March 10 to mark the establishment of the force in 1969. The specialised armed police force is responsible for protecting critical installations across the country, including airports, metro networks and major public sector facilities, making it a key pillar of India’s internal security system.
