Addressing delegates from across the world, the Prime Minister outlined India’s approach to building inclusive and responsible AI systems and stressed the need for technology to serve the public good. In his inaugural address, the Prime Minister called for closer cooperation between governments, industry and academic institutions to ensure AI remains accessible, fair and aligned with democratic values. He later joined the Leaders’ Plenary session, where global leaders and technology experts exchanged views on AI governance, cross-border partnerships and the future of innovation-driven growth. On the sidelines of the summit, the Prime Minister held a series of bilateral meetings with leaders from the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Greece. These discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in emerging technologies, digital infrastructure, clean energy, trade and investment, with a shared emphasis on long-term strategic partnerships. Later , the Prime Minister will also participate in a high-level CEOs Forum involving more than 50 global business leaders. The interaction is expected to centre on investment opportunities in India’s digital economy, AI-led innovation and policy frameworks that support the growth of next-generation technologies, reinforcing India’s position as a key player in shaping the global AI landscape.
