Amrit Udyan Summer Festival 2026 to Open From August 16

Lucknow, 14 Aug, 2026 09:58 PMNew Delhi, August 14, 2026 The Rashtrapati Bhavan’s Amrit Udyan is set to welcome visitors with its Summer Festival 2026, offering people an opportunity to experience the gardens during the monsoon season. President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the festival on Friday, while the gardens will remain open to the public from August 16 to September 15, 2026. During this period, Amrit Udyan will be open from 10 am to 6 pm, with entry permitted until 5 pm. The garden will remain closed every Monday for maintenance. According to a statement issued by the President’s Secretariat, visitors will be able to enter and exit the premises through Gate No. 35, located near North Avenue Road. Entry to Amrit Udyan will be free of charge, but visitors will have to book their slots in advance through the official website, visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in. Slot bookings for a particular day will close at 10 am on the preceding day. No facility for on-the-spot booking will be available. To make the visit more convenient, drinking water stalls, first-aid posts, rain shelters and restrooms will be set up along the garden’s visitor route. A shuttle bus service will also operate between Central Secretariat Metro Station and the Amrit Udyan entrance every 30 minutes from 9:30 am to 6 pm. The buses will carry a banner reading ‘Shuttle Service for Amrit Udyan’. With free entry and additional visitor facilities, the Summer Festival is expected to provide people with an accessible opportunity to explore the gardens. Visitors planning a visit during the festival period will need to complete the online slot-booking process in advance.
